Pipeline dispute more about economy than environment
“Re: Oil sands monitoring program, too little too late,” ACV Aug. 3
Dear Editor,
If an airplane crashes, a ship sinks or train comes off the rails, the proper authorities investigate and correct the problem so it doesn’t happen again.
According to the environmental lobby, however, if there’s pipeline problem the only solution is to build no more pipelines. The Wright brothers crashed their first airplane, where would we be today if they had used the same twisted logic?
In my opinion, the anti-pipeline/anti-oilsands crusade is less about environment and more about disrupting our economy.
