Club to wrap up season with 4-H on Parade event
4-H News:
The Airdrie Helping Hands 4-H Multi Club held their last official meeting of the 2011-2012 year on April 14.
The Easter Eggstravaganza was a great success and our club was happy to help. The Helping Hands are planning on making an appearance at the Calgary Stampede so if you have any questions, we will be there and happy to answer.
Many thanks go out to Alta Link, Alberta Treasury Branch, Crossfield Legion, UFA, Canada Safeway, ATB Financial, and Airdrie Ag Society. All of your support and encouragement means a lot to the members.
Another thank you to our Achievement Day judges including Ellen Cornish, Susan Black, Joyce Estes, Kathy Lowther, Wayne Shuttleworth, and Sharon Shuttleworth. Without your time and efforts, our Achievement Day would not be possible.
Our club leaders Wendy Konschuk, Jacky Vang, and Tori White have put so much of their time into our club and I speak for all of the members when I say you helped this year run smoothly and helped all of the members reach their potential, and we truly appreciate everything you did for us.
We can’t give enough thanks for all of our project leaders, without you, this 4-H year wouldn’t have happened and we thank you for your guidance. I’d like to congratulate Kate Bollum for becoming an Ambassador at Selections, a job well done and the whole club is proud of your achievement.
Coming up soon is 4-H On Parade where members from clubs near and far get to show off their projects and skills. This is taking place June 1 to 3 at the Calgary Stampede Park and all are welcome. We also have many members of all ages attending camps up at Battle Lake so an advanced thank you to all of the sponsors who make the camps possible.
The Airdrie Helping Hand 4-H Multi Club had such a wonderful, successful, and fun filled year and we want others to enjoy all of these opportunities, so come and join our club on September 8 at 7 p.m. at the Airdrie Ag Building.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact our leaders, Wendy Konschuk at 403-948-9941 or Jacky Vang at 403-946-4261. We hope to see you then.
