Police Notebook: Cochrane RCMP seeking motorcycle involved in hit and run

Sep 23, 2011 05:13 pm | Trevor Bacque

Cochrane RCMP responded to a hit and run vehicle collision, Aug. 12.

The night before, at about 9 p.m., a vehicle struck a home’s fence on the east side of Fourth Avenue just north of the Highway 1A junction.

The vehicle caused serious damage to the fence and fled after striking it. However, a piece of the suspect’s vehicle, likely a GL-400 or GL-500 Honda motorcycle, was left at the scene.

The motorcycle may also have had some grey paint on it based from fragments left on the fence. The investigation is ongoing and police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect.

If you have information on any unsolved crime, please call your local RCMP detachment or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
